The Everest Basecamp Kalapatthar Trek

Trekking Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu (4,385 ft), greetings by our family member and transfer to lodge/guest house
Day 2: Sight seeing and explore the ancient cities of Kathmandu, Patan (renowned craft center for its unique hand-made local artwork, jewelry, carpets and other handcrafts) Swambhunath (Buddhist temple and the monkey temple), prepare for the next day’s trek
Day 3 :Early morning flight to Lukla (9,383 ft), meet other staffs and start trekking to Monjo (9,317 ft). In Monjo we will find many guesthouses as the village is built around the trekking industry. While there we will eat dinner and sleep.
Day 4: We will wake early in Monjo, have breakfast and trek to Namche (11,286 ft). Namche itself is the main trading center and hub for the Khumbu region so that you'll find a post, bank, and even a beauty salon here. 
Day 5: Namche to Khumjung (12,300 ft), this will be a short day but we will take a day hike to the beautiful Thame village and Everest View Lodge.
Day 6: After spending a night in Khumjung we will trek to Tengboche (12,800 ft), which features a minor elevation gain. In Tengboche you can find Buddhist monasteries and a breathtaking panoramic view of the Himalayan Mountain Range, including great scenes of Everest. 
Day 7: From Tengboche we will trek to Dingboche (13,779 ft). Dingboche will be act as an acclimatization stop and within the village you will find miles of beautifully constructed stone walls along with great views. 
Day 8: Lobuche (14,235 ft)
Day 9: Dingboche rest
Day 10: Early morning climb to Everest Basecamp (17,300 ft) or Kalapatthar Peak (18,192 ft), return back to Gorakshep (15,744 ft)
Day 11: Gorakshep to Pheriche (13,910 ft)
Day 12: Pheriche to Tengboche (12,800 ft)
Day 13: Tengboche to Namche (11,286 ft)
Day 14: Namche to Monjo 
Day 15: Monjo to Lukla (9,383 ft)
Day 16: Lukla to Kathmandu fly out in the morning, spend the day resting or exploring busy local bazaars/market
Day 17: Day tour to Kathmandu museum, Durbar square & Thamel (tourist district), drive to Nagarkot about 31 miles outside of Kathmandu, spend overnight
Day 18: Rise early in the morning while it’s dark to catch the incredible sunrise views, after breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu, spend remaining day on your own, farewell dinner
Day 19: Transfer to the airport for departures back to the United States
